Mary Luciele Snider, 66, Craig, Mo., died Tuesday, July 9, 1991, at Heartland Hospital West, St. Joseph.
She was born Sept. 14, 1924, at Hamburg, Iowa, to Walter and Glennie Moger Whetsel. She attended the Star Rural School near Hamburg. In the 1930\\\'s the family moved to Craig where she attended school and graduated from Craig High School in 1942. She attended two years at Vernard College in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
On August 15, 1947, she married James Snider at the Methodist Church in Fairfax. She had taught at the Star Rural School and the Corning schools prior to teaching in the Craig school system from 1967-1990.
Mrs. Snider was a charter member of the Craig Church of the Nazarene, where she had held several church offices. She also had memberships in the Craig PTA and the Missouri State Teachers Association.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a niece. She is survived by her husband of the home; three daughters, Mary Elizabeth Herndon, Haxtun, Colo., Rebecca Quimby, Spring Hill, Fla., and Rachel Olson, Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Don Whetsel, Craig; two sisters, Cleo Monroe, Craig, and Janice Moore, Falls City, Neb.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at the Craig Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Larry McDaniel will officiate.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
