Earl D. Theas, 55, Skidmore, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, after collapsing at the Nodaway-Holt Middle School in Maitland.

Mr. Theas had been a custodian at the school since 1993.

He was born in Craig July 1, 1940, to Arnold and Hazel Theas. He attended school at Craig and lived there and in Holt County most of his life. He moved to Skidmore in 1989.

He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Mound City, Mo., where he was an elder.

On June 14, 1961, he married Carolyn Mallon. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Jimmy D., Americus, Kan.; four daughters, Linda Worcester, Americus, Sherlyn Roberts, Maryville, Mo., and Betty and Reba Theas, of the home; his parents, Arnold and Hazel Theas, Rosendale, Mo.; three brothers, Doyle, Skidmore, Leroy, Arkansas City, Kan., and C.R. Maryville; a sister, Helen F. Hill, Savannah, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be today, Thursday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Nodaway-Holt Middle School. The Rev. J.N. Sellmeyer will officiate.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig. Pallbearers will be Stev Kinyon, Steve Cunningham, David Carroll, John Zeliff, Greg Biermann and C.C. Maffitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Howe and Robert Coates.

The Schooler Funeral Home, Craig, is in charge of arrangements.
