Thelma Ruth Bruntmyer, 78, St. Joseph, MO., formerly of Holt couty, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at a St. Joseph hospital.
Mrs. Bruntmyer was born in Holt County, Feb. 6, 1921, to Lee and Libby Davis Ousley. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1939. She lived in holt county most of her life, moving to St. Joseph in 1997.
On July 19, 1941, she married George Bruntmyer in Oregon. He died in 1998.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Mound City First Christian Church and attended the Woodson Chapel Christian Church in St. Joseph. She also was a member of Ladies Aid and Busy Bees.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Russell; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two son, Roy of Portsmouth, Va., and Ken of Tucson, Va.; three daughters, Georgia Burwell and Jean Archer, both of St. Joseph, and Susie Payne of Lyndon, Kan.; two brothers, Delbert Ousley of King City, and Dale Ousley of Placerville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are today, Thursday, Feb. 3, at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City, MO. The Rev. Bill Bridgewater will officiate.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig.
