Joseph Burge

Died Jun. 11, 1925 in Bigelow, MO

"moved when a small boy with his parents to Maton, Ill. Here he resided for about 20 years. At Maton he met and married Binda BARUM Oct 14, 1861, and years later they came west locating southeast of Craig. Six children were born: John, James, George, David, Charles and Lewis. James died, age 1 year, John died 3 years ago, age 59. The other three sons were with him when he died Thursday morning of a stroke at age 89 yrs, 5 mo, 16 days. He had lived in Hickory Co., 12 years. Survived by three sons, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Easter of Rulo, Nebr."
