Wilma Martha (Voltmer) Crouse passed away Friday, August 26, 2011,at her home at Carla\\\'s Cluster Care facility in Limon, CO. She was born September 19, 1925, at the Voltmer farm home near Craig, MO. She was the youngest of four children born to Fred and Grace (Beasing) Voltmer. Her entire life was spent in the Craig and Corning Communities, except for the last two years. Because of failing health, she moved to Colorado to live with her son and daughter-in-law, and eventually moved the care facility. Wilma attended Corning School through her junior year when the high school closed. She finished her schooling at Rock Port High School, graduating in 1944. She was a lifelong member of St John\\\'s Lutheran Church in Corning, MO. On October 19, 1952, she married Wayne Howard Crouse. They were married for 56 years . Wilma was a homemaker. She worked outside the home for a few years as a caregiver and housekeeper for the elderly. She loved being a farm wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed attending her grandchildren\\\'s events and games. She also enjoyed working in the garden and raising chickens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, on Jan 13, 2009, her parents, her sister Naomi Schnegelberger; and brothers Norbert and Evan Voltmer. Wilma is survived by her daughter Nancy (Michael) Jenkins of Rea ,MO., Son, Larry (Caranel) Crouse of Limon, CO. 5 grandchildren Tyne (J.R.) Chaney of Rock Port, MO. David Crouse of Oklahoma City, OK. Seth Jenkins of Savannah, MO. Chaim Jenkin of Maryville, MO, Clayton Crouse of Greeley, CO. and 1 great grandchild Desmond Chaney of Rock Port, MO.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday August 31, 2011 beginning at 6 to 8 pm. at the Chamberlain Funeral Home in Mound City, MO. Funeral Services will be held at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Mound City, MO. on Thursday September 1, 2011 at 10:00am with burial at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Caig.MO.
