Louis Charles Felumb, 72, died Saturday evening, Feb. 12, at the Fairfax Community Hospital. He had been in failing health for several months.

The son of Alfred and Mabel A. Degginger Felumb, he was born near Fairfax on Nov. 2, 1910 and lived his entire life in the Craig community. He was actively engaged in farming and was owner and operator of the Felumb Fertilizer and Seed Co. until his retirement.

Louis was married to Mildred Meranda of Moscow, Ohio on Oct. 15, 1934. They made their home on a farm until they moved to Craig in 1975.

She preceded him in death in May, 1980. Also preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Kenneth Felumb, and an infant brother.

He was a member of the Craig Christian Church and formerly a member of the church board and treasurer of the church, also a 4-H leader for many years.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Walter (Marie) Voltmer, Craig; three brothers, Frank Felumb, Mound City; Dale Felumb, Rock Port; Glenn Felumb, Craig.

Funeral services were conducted at the Craig Christian Church Tuesday, Feb. 15, with the Rev. Golda McClelland officiating. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery, Craig. Music for the services was rendered by Mrs. Betty Wennihan, accompanied by Mrs. Mavis Thomson.

Pallbearers were Billy Jr. Miles, Richard Jackson, Rodger Jackson, Ordos Singleton, Ralph Gray and Arch White.
