Frank Harrison "Shorty" Walker, 95, Craig, MO., died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at a Lincoln, Neb., hospital.
He was born Oct. 16, 1910, on a farm near Fairfax, the son of Elbert and Louis Walker.
He grew up there and graduated from the rural school in the Elkdale community in 1925. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1929.
He farmed all his life, working with his father until he began farming on his own in 1935.
He married Ruby Hull McKee Oct. 21, 1956, and they made their home in Craig. She died Nov. 13, 1991.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Fairfax.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by a niece, Marsha Alsup; several great-nieces, and special friends, Mel Miles and Barb Kunkel.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Craig Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Seward officiating.
Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
