Frank Walden was instantly killed Wednesday afternoon about 5:15 at his home in Bigelow, when a jack collapsed as he was changing a tire and his car fell on him, striking him in the chest.
Mr. Watson was the son of the late Charles and Emma Walden. He was born near Bigelow on Feb. 26, 1901, and had spent his entire life in that vicinity. He was a member of the Elks Club in Falls City, Nebraska.
Mr. and Mrs. Walden had sold their farm recently and had purchased the Lee Browning residence in Mound City, to make their home.
On August 16, 1920, he was married to Miss Blanche Hunt, who survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Maxine O\\\'Dell of Kansas City; one sisters, Mrs. Walbert Dearmont, Maryville, Mo.; a brother, Kenneth Walden, Bellflower, Calif., and three grandchildren, Vicki, Danny and Debbie O\\\'Dell, Kansas City.
