Carl Lee Gray, Maude Davis Gray and Edgar F. Gray, was born near Craig, May 3, 1906, and died unexpectedly at his home in St. Joseph, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 1.
Carl\\\'s earlier years were spent in the Craig community where he farmed and did carpentry work. He was a man of many abilities.
In Dec., 1939, he moved to St. Joseph where he lived the rest of his life. He was married to Hope Eleanor Gaskill on April 2, 1940, at her parents\\\' home near Criag. They were the parents of one daughter, Judith Lee Beierle.
Carl was an active member of the King Hill Christian Church, where he served as an elder. As recently as the Sunday afternoon before his death, he served communion to shut-ins.
He was a World War II veteran and was retied from the mechanical department of Swift
