Raymond G. Horne, 8, Craig, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at Heartland Hospital West, St. Joseph, Mo., after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Tarkio, Mo., Jan. 9, 1910, to Manscel and Myrtle Smith Horne. He had lived in Craig all his life except for the 20 years he worked across the country building bridges. He was employed by Massman Construction Co., based in Kansas City.

Mr. Horne was an Army veteran of World War II. He served in the European Theater in Germany, France and Rhineland. He had also served as an MP in England. He was a past member of the Story-Hardin American Legion Post #164 and VFW in Craig.

He married Frances L. Wright Aug 7, 1934, in Hiawatha, Kan. She preceded him in death in February 1994.

Also preceded him in death were a brother, Thomas, and three sisters, Edith Logan, Ruth Pursell and Mabel Bonn.

His is survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services were to he held today at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 5) at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, under the direction of Pettijohn
