Adah M (Brooks) Redmon

Services were held a 2 o\\\'clock Thursday afternoon, Feb. 28, at the Craig Church of God for Mrs. Adah Redmon, 90, who died Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the Bethesda Care Center, Tarkio, Mo. The Rev. Pat Nielson officiated. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery, near Craig.

Mrs. Redmon, the daughter of David J. and Adelia Broks, was born Oct. 16, 1889 in Jewell County, Kansas. She spent part of her early life there and in Oklahoma and Nebraska.

On Feb. 8, 1918, she was married to William T. Redmon. They made their home on a farm south of Craig and were the parents of one daughter, Betty. Mr. Redmon died June 1, 1943, and in 1944 Mrs. Redmon and Betty moved to Craig, where she made her home until 1974, when she went to live with her daughter and family in Tarkio. In March 1975, she entered Bethesda Care Center where she made her home until her death.

Mrs. Redmon was a member of the Craig Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and three sisters. Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Betty Elton, one granddaughter, Renee Elton, both of Tarkio; one grandson, C.W. Elton, Kansas City; one sister, Lizzie Brooks of Craig, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers for the service were George Viets, Bill Brooks, Ernest Garrett, John Hall, Gene Garrrett and Ronnie Haer. Mrs. Gary Wennihan, accompanied by Mrs. Mabel Bailey, sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond The Sunset."
