Funeral services for Bert F. Trauernicht were held at 2:00 Saturday at the Schooler Funeral Home in Craig. Rev. Paul Stone, pastor of the Fairfax Presbyterian Church officiated.

Bert F. Trauernicht passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Fairfax Community Hospital, age 79 years, nine months, and 14 days. He was the son of Fred and Henrietta Trauernicht, the 4th of eight children. He was born August 8, 1879 near Craig, Mo. He had been a patient at the hospital for several weeks.

At an early age he was confirmed in the St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church west of Craig.

Feb. 28, 1909, he was united in marriage to Nancy May VanVickle, who preceded him in death. To this union two children were born, Vernon of Fairfax and Thelma, now of South Lyon, Mich. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Bond, Lake Forrest, Ill., and a brother, William of St. Joseph. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

In 1936 he was married to Myrtle Fisher of Craig.

Upon retiring he lived with his children.

Pallbearers were Glen Stouffer, Robert Irvine, Francis Irvine, Lyle Beck, Dale Osburn, and Olin Fletcher.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
