Billie Jean (Wilson) Yount, 81, Riverside, MO, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2001, at a Falls City, NE hospital. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 26, at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City, MO. Interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, MO. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials to Platte-Clay County Clothes Closet, Riverside, MO.
Mrs. Yount was born August 21, 1920 near Mound City, MO, to Benjamin and Ethel (Elder) Wilson. She married George E. "Buster" Yount, June 2, 1937. He passed away in 1987. She lived in Beaumont and Houston, TX before moving to Riverside in 1975. She was a member of the Vivion Road Church of Christ, Riverside. Mrs. Yount was an apartment manager for Greystone Garden Apartments in Riverside, beginning in 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Bill Wilson and sisters, Betty Dotson and Anna Hannawalt. She is survived by her son, Jerry Yount, Houston, TX; brother, Harry Wilson, Riverside, MO; sisters, Joy Morris, Mound City, MO, Donna Fries, Riverside, MO and Geneva Groves, Elmwood, NE; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.
