Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o\\'clock at the Craig Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Allie Ward, 93, with the Rev. Dave Poland officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery near Craig.
Mrs. Gary Wennihan, accompanied by Perry Scott sang "The Old Rugged Cross and "It Will Be Worth It All." Pallbearers were Forrest Johnson, Billy P. Sharp, Kirby Felumb, Dennis Wright, Richard Jackson and Harold Gray.
Sara Alymra (Allie) Ward, daughter of Alfred and Anna (Christian) Angel, was born on a farm near Fairfax, July 17, 1886, and died in the Fairfax Community Hospital Thursday, May 8.
Her early life was spent near Fairfax and she attended the Fairfax Public schools. She also attended Tarkio High Scholl and Tarkio College, class of 1902. On Oct. 15, 1905, she was married to Thomas A. War Sr. at the Presbyterian Manse in Tarkio. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Craig and for many years taught the Queen Esther Sunday school class there. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Mound City. She was vice president of the Bank of Craig for many years and also served on the Big Tarkio Drainage District and on the Craig School Board.
Surviving are her son, Thomas A. Ward Jr.; three grandchildren, Thomas A. Ward III, Marcia Ward Pfost, both of Overland Park, Kan., and Steven A. Ward, Houston, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Lisa Ann Pfost, Cynthia Anne Pfost, Laura Ellen Ward, Margaret Amy Ward, Susan Christian Ward, Steven A. Ward Jr., and Janey Bibolet Ward; one sisters, Mrs. Clark McCall, Westboro, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and five sisters.
