Amy Beatrice Bender, 63, St. Joseph, died July 2, in a nursing home there. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Bender was born November 25, 1921, in Craig and had spent most of her life in St. Joseph. She had been a bookkeeper for Walter\\\'s Temperature and Engineering, Loubey Television and Jenkins Music Store.
She is survived by her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Cooper, St. Joseph, one daughter, Carolyn McMahan, Kansas City; one brother, Robert Cooper; sister-in-law, Charlotte Cooper, both of St. Joseph; three aunts, Edna Griffen, Victorville, Calif., Hope Helfers and Marian Ingram, Craig; two uncles, Ralph Gray and Harold Gray, both of Craig; one grandson; two step-grandsons; one niece and one nephew.
Services were at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, in the Clark-Lindsey Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
Mrs. and Mrs. Harold Gray, Mrs. and Mrs. Ralph Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Helfers, Mr. and Mrs. Welton Helfers, and Marian Ingram, all of Craig, attended the services.
