George W. Gaskill, Craig, Mo., died at the Thompson-Knepper-Brumm clinic hospital in St. Joseph, May 29. He had entered the hospital Saturday night.

Saturday, May 27, was his 88th birthday, and the family helped his celebrate the occasion with a family dinner at his home. He became ill in the late afternoon and was removed to the hospital, where he passed away Monday.

George W. Gaskill, third son of George Washington Gaskill and Susannah Christiana Fast, was born at Maple Shade farm, Craig, Mo., May 27, 1873, and passed away May 29, 1961, at the age of 88 years and two days.

He became a member of the Craig Presbyterian church in early manhood.

On August 27, 1899, he was married to Pearl Mcelhaney in the Craig Christian Church. They began house keeping on the farm where they have resided for nearly 62 years.

To this union three children were born, Constance Siekmann, Mound City, Mo., George Wayne Gaskill, Littleton, Colo., and Hope Eleanor Gray, St. Joseph, Mo.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Pearl Gaskill, three children, two granddaughters, Eleanor Ann Gaskill and Judith Lee Gray, and one sister, Mrs. John G. Leitch, Lakeland, Florida.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o\\\'clock at the Craig Christian Church, with Ernest Nielson, Pastor of the Craig Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Mrs. To Dougherty and Mrs. Bill Burnsides sang "In the Garden" and "Sunrise Tomorrow," accompanied at the piano by Miss Vinta Anderson.

Lloyd Casteel, Byron Fitzgerald, Louis Felumb, Harold Gray, Guy Graves and Maurice Nauman served as pallbearers.

Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Craig.
