Ora Frances (Guilliams) Martin

Mrs. W.Y. (Dick) Martin, died at the Fairfax Community hospital Friday afternoon, August 7th following a long illness with several months spent in the Fairfax hospital.

She had lived in Craig all her life until a few years ago when she went to Indianapolis to live with her daughter. She returned here to the hospital during her illness.

Ora Frances Guilliams was born September 12, 1877, near Craig, the daughter of Rufus and Emma Guilliams. She attended the Craig schools and Tarkio College at Tarkio.

At an early age she united with the Craig Presbyterian Church and it was in this church she was married to Waller Young Martin of Plattsburg, Mo. To this union, seven children were born. Her husband and one daughter, Lucile Martin Van Gundy, preceded her in death.

Surviving children are: Mrs. Frost Browning of Tarkio, Rufus A. Martin of Craig; Mrs. Keith Hurst of Tarkio; Robert Martin of Jacksonville, Texas; Mrs. Norris McGaw of Indianapolis, Ind.; and W.Y. Martin Jr. of Tonawanda, N.Y. She leaves 12 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Etta Annibal of Craig, and two nieces. Mrs. Martin was 81 years old.

Funeral services were conducted at her church in Craig, Sunday afternoon, August 9, at 2:30 o\\\'clock with Rev. Charles Goodman, officiating.

Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig.
