Services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Schooler Funeral Home for Dallas Moore. Rev. Chas. Hagee, pastor of the Mound City Christian Church officiated.
Mr. Moore suffered a broken hip several days ago. He was removed to the Missouri Methodist hospital and passed away Dec. 24.
William Dallas Moore was born in Clay County, Inv., on March 7, 1867. At the time of his death he was 96 years, nine months and 17 days of age.
He was the son of Zachariah and Mary Moore. He grew to manhood in Indiana and came west in a covered wagon train when he was 20 years old. He settled near Craig and with the exception of a few years lived all his life in this and surrounding communities.
He was married to Margaret Ann O\\\'Dell April 25, 1883 and to this union 10 children were born. His wife preceded him in death Sept. 5, 1948, and one son, George, who passed away Oct. 17, 1951.
He is survived by six sons, Jas. E. Moore, Sr., Savannah, Lee of Jasonville, Ind., William E., St. Joseph, Frank of Guilford, Mo., Tom of Bigelow, Mo., and R.H. Moore, of Maitland, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Ida Keck, Liberty, Neb., Miss Julia Moore and Mrs. Bessie Jenkins, St. Joseph; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bruce of Long Beach, Calif.
He joined the Christian Church at an early age.
Burial was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig, Mo.
