Chester Myers died Tuesday evening, Feb. 10, at his home of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Craig Church of the Nazarene Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14, with the Rev. Al Remmenga officiating. Miss Becky Snider accompanied Rev. Floyd Hess, as he sang "Near To The Heart of God" and "After."

Pallbearers were Abie Showalter, Wade Whitham, James Snider, Lloyd Whitham, Clarence Freeman, and H.H. Raiser.

Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig.

Chester Myers, son of William and Anna Myers, was born in Liberty, Nebr., April 21, 1905. He moved to Nebraska City, Nebr. as a child and attended school there. It was in Nebraska City where he met Cleta Griffin, whom he married Sept. 19, 1928. They have one daughter, Beverly Joyce of Hutchinson, Kans; four brothers; Leroy Myers, William Myers of Cedar Rapids, Ia., Merle Myers of Omaha, Nebr. and Raymond Myers of Creston, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Parker, Mrs. Helen Mead, Mrs. Nellie Vorzal, all of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Chester was self-employed as a painter. He was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene, and was actively helping with the remodeling of the church on the day of his death.
