Augustus "Gus" Frederick Ohlensehlen

August Frederick "Gus" Ohlensehlen, 92, died Saturday morning, May 2, at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home, in Mound City, where he had been a resident since Dec. 1, 1980.

The son of Herman and Sophia Heine Ohlensehlen, he was born Nov. 27, 1888, near Craig, and was lifelong resident and farmer of that community. he was a member of the St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church.

On Feb. 18, 1914, he was married to Tena Rebel. He was also preceded in death by one son, Warren.

Survivors include two sons, Ivan Ohlensehlen and Vern Ohlensehlen, both of Craig; four daughters, Frances Martin, King city, Lorene Edwards, Savannah, Lillian Brickey and Bernice Barrett, Mound City; one sister, Minnie Biermann, Falls City, Neb.; 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church near Craig, with the Pastor Donald Jenkins officiating.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig.
