Mrs. Biermann was born at Albert, Kan., near Great Bend, Kan., on July 10, 1921, to Carl and Lydia (Drewes) Wissmann. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Albert, on August 7, 1921. She attended grade school near Albert. In 1928, the family moved to Dodge City, Kan. where she finished grade school and attended high school. She was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, Jetmore, Kan.

Due to the health of her family during the dust bowl years, her family moved to a farm near Verdon, Neb., in 1936, and in 1938, to a farm northeast of Falls City, Neb.

On February 3, 1941, she married Bruno Biermann of Craig, at St. Paul\\'s Lutheran Church, north of Falls City. They lived on a farm at Big Lake, Mo., for 17 years. She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She was a member of St. Peter\\'s Lutheran Church, Craig, where she was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.

In 1956, when Concordia Lutheran Church, Mound City, Mo., was organized, she became a charter member there. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.

In 1958, Bruno, Ruth and their family moved to their present home, northeast of Craig.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Biermann on March 29, 1997; a daughter, Donna Ruth Biermann; her parents, Carl and Lydia (Drewes) Wissmann, Falls City; and a brother, Meinert Wissmann and sister, Delores Huebner, both of Falls City.

Survivors: include three sons, Duane, of the home, Dean (Dottie) all of Craig, and Daryl, of Mound City; two granddaughters, Danelle (Nick) Weiderholt, of Olathe, Kan. and Deanna (Michael) Mandrick, of Maryville, Mo.; brother-in-law, Bill Huebner and sister-in-law, Evelyn Wissmann, both of Falls City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Ruth\\'s Baptism, she became a child of God by God\\'s love and mercy through the Holy Spirit. And as Ruth lived her life, she knew through Faith that Christ died for her sins. She knew she could do nothing to earn her salvation because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ had done it all for her.

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, Concordia Lutheran Church. Interment: IOOF Cemetery, Craig.
