Veteran Frankie W. Brindle, 75, Rockport, Mo., formerly of Craig, Mo., died Oct 7, 1998, at a health care center in Rockport.
He was born on Feb 19, 1923, in Atchison County, to Charles N. and Nannie Brindle. He was a self-employed house painter and worked as a farm laborer.
He married Elsie M. Thompson on Dec 9, 1940.
A lifetime resident of Craig, Mo., Mr. Brindle attended school in Craig. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Story-Hardin Armerican Legion Post #164, Craig.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mable Hughes and Ella Brindle.
Survivors include: two daughters, Eva Bammer of Maryville, and Karen Miller of Craig., and one grandchild.
Graveside services were held at the IOOF Cemetery, Craig, Mo., with military rites held by the Story-Hardin American Legion Post #164, Craig.
