Ethyl Virginia (Watters) Carlton

Ethel Virginia Carlton was born at Brookfield, Mo., Dec. 22, 1886, and passed away Mar. 21, 1959, at the New Odd Fellows Hospital at Liberty, Mo. She was 72 years of age.

She was the daughter of Anna Dunn Watters and Joseph Mason Watters.

Mrs. Carlton is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Vandiver of Kansas City and Mrs. Andy Cattril of Lynwood, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. J.V. Sargant, Long Beach, Calif; and three grandchildren, Deborah Ann Vandiver and Karen Lee and James Andrew Cottril.

Mrs. Carlton was a member of the William White Chapter of the D.A.R. and until her illness was active in Sorosis, American Legion Auxiliary, the Presbyterian Church and other local activities.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Craig Presbyterian Church. Rev. Chas. Goodman officiated.

Pallbearers were Russell Carlton, Harry dukes, Forrest Johnson, Rufus Martin and Harold Gray.
Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig.
