William Henry Drewes, 65, Craig, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at a St. Joseph hospital.
He was born July 27, 1936, on the family farm near Craig, the son of Walter Friedrich Menke Drewes and W. Minnie Ida Dora Voltmer Drewes.
He attended Center School near Craig and graduated from Craig High School in 1954.
He farmed near Craig most of his life before retiring.
He was a member of St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church, Craig, and was active in Lutheran Laymen\\\'s League and taught Sunday School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Mark M. Haer.
He is survived by a son, W. Mark of Comanche, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Yocum of Mound City, and Lori Laukemper of Craig; a sister, Katherine Thurnau of Kansas City; eight grandchildren, and three nephews.
Services are Friday at St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church, Craig, with Pastor J.N. Sellmeyer officiating.
Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
