Clarence Edward Freeman, 67, Craig, Mo., died Friday, July 7, 1989, in Heartland Hospital East, St. Joseph, Mo.
The son of Elisha and Ulrica (Oglebee) Freeman, he was born January 19, 1922, at Craig, and graduated from the Craig High School in 1939.
On September 5, 1952, he was married at Bentonville, Ark., to the former Grace Baker, who survives him of the home.
Mr. Freeman was a truck driver for over 27 years, retiring in 1975 from United Transport of Kansas City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn, in 1976; his parents; and a sister, Hannah Thomas.
In addition to his wife, Grace Freeman, he is survived by three sons, Bill Freeman, Springfield, Rick Freeman, Craig, and Dennis Schutt, New market, Iowa; two daughters, Cheri Freeman, Craig, and Cathy Altena, Burlington Junction; three sisters, Leola Swope, St. Joseph, Jean Garren, Kansas City, and Fredonia Denton, Evansville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, in the Craig Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Lighty officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig.
Pallbearers were Bill Golden, Dick Thomas, David Dean Nowling, Keith Nemyer, Larry Quimby, and Raymond Quimby.
