MRS. GUY GRAVES DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS-
Funeral services for Mrs. Guy Graves were held at the Craig Presbyterian Church, Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 10, at 2:00 o\\\'clock, with the pastor, Ernest e. Nielsen officiating. Mrs. W.W. Strickler was in charge of the music and Mrs. Don Wennihan was soloist.
Charlotte Bond Graves, daughter of Charles and Anna Bond, was born Oct. 20, 1900, near Mound City, Missouri, and passed away Oct. 7, 1961, at the Fairfax community Hospital, Fairfax, Mo., at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 17 days.
On April 2, 1925, she was united in marriage to Guy L. Graves.
She was an active member of the Craig Presbyterian Church, Sunday School and the ladies organizations. She was also an active officer of the church.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Graves of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Gillis, Mound City; Mrs. Loma Hamm and Mrs. Pauline Criffield, both of Battle Creek, Mich.; and one brother, John Bond, Kalamazoo, Mich.; two nieces and two nephews; one uncle, A.W. Nixon of Mound City; and one aunt, Mrs. Della Miller of Joplin, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Charles was a loyal and faithful worker in her church and community. She always seemed to find time to do for those about her and asked very little in return. She will be remembered always by her family and many friends.
Those who served as pallbearers were J.E. Kerns, Lloyd Casteel, Ransom Browning, Ed Rother, Benson Gaffney, and Byron Fitzerald.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Craig.
