Joan Gray, 83, Mound City, Mo., formerly of Craig, Mo., died Wednesday, March 17, 2004.
She was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Fairfax, the daughter of Fred and Mildred Ottman Walkup.
She grew up in Craig and graduated from Craig High School in 1939.
She married Harold Gray Oct. 13, 1939, and they established their home in Craig. He died March 13, 2000. She was a resident of Tiffany Heights the past four years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church but attended the Craig Presbyterian Church for several years.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jackye Sprague; a brother, Jack Walkup; and a granddaughter, Meredith Sprague.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Nowling of Vacaville, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Craig Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rob Self officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig.
Schooler Funeral Home, Craig, was in charge of arrangements.
