Melvin Harold Krutz, 84, Fairfax, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at The Ambassador Care Center, Nebraska City, Neb.
He was born June 9, 1921, in Corning, Mo., the son of Emil and Lean Ideker Krutz.
He married Cozette Nauman Sept. 22, 1940, at her parents\\\' home in Corning. She died in February 2002.
They made their home in Corning and farmed their entire married life. For 25 years, they spent six months out of the year in Hawaii.
He graduated from Corning High School in 1939. He was a member of St. John\\\'s Lutheran church, Corning, before transferring to First Lutheran Church, Rock Port, Mo. He had dual membership with the Emmanual Lutheran Church, Maui, Hawaii.
He is survived by two daughters, Judith Middleton of Kearney, Neb., and Melva Linville of Kansas City; a son, Harold Krutz of Fairfax; a sister, Wilma Randall of Rock Port; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday at First Lutheran Church, Rock Port, with the Rev. Rick Danforth officiating.
Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
Minter funeral Chapel, Rock Port, was in charge of arrangements.
