Beverly Joyce Myers was born November 9, 1932, in Nebraska City, NE, to parents, Chester and Cleta (Griffin) Myers. She made her journey to Heaven on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Bev graduated from Craig R-III (Craig, MO), attended Southern Nazarene University for three years, and graduated from Tarkio (MO) College, majoring in education and minoring in music. She taught three years at Craig, three years in Forest City, MO, and 30 years in Hutchinson, KS. She was voted Teacher of the Year in 1994 in Hutchinson.

Bev was a charter member of the Craig Church of the Nazarene, and attended there except for the 30 years she was a member of Hutchinson First Church of the Nazarene. She kept busy playing piano for the Oregon (MO) Church of the Nazarene and the Craig Church every Sunday. Bev was also a member of the Fairfax (MO) Hospital Auxiliary Board.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; and he "almost sister", Karen McIntosh of Hutchinson, KS. Bev was an only child, but is survived by many cousins she loved; friends she considered as family, Dennis and Lillian Wright of Craig and Jenny Beutler of Rock Port, MO; her other "almost sister", Janice Moore of Falls City, NE; and other special friends Bev called the Hutch Bunch, Jane Miller, Elvin McIntosh, Bill and Ronda Priem, Ann Heider, Ruth Stiggins and Maynard and Gaylene Brazel.

Bev loved the Lord, friends and family, and her church. Other loves were the St. Louis (MO) Cardinals; Kansas Jayhawk basketball; Southern Gospel music - especially the Geithers and Booth Brothers; and her immediate family, Missy, Cali, Molly and Sophie (her cats).

Bev received and knew Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord. For 35 years Bev taught, nurtured, loved, and shared her heart and time with hundreds of children and teens as a professional teacher.

There will be no visitation, but graveside farewell services and interment will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Craig. Memorial donations may be sent to the Humane Society. An online guest book and obituary may be found at www.pettijohncrawford.com.
