CRAIG WOMAN SUFFERS FATAL BURNS IN HOME-

Flames cover Body When Gas Stove is Lighted.

Mrs. Amanda Nordloh, Craig, died at the Missouri Methodist Hospital in St. Joseph Wednesday afternoon from burns suffered at her home Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Nordloh with her daughter lives at the home of her sister, Mrs. H.P. McKee, in Craig. It was about 11:00 and Mrs. Nordloh was preparing to get dinner. Mrs. McKee was in the basement of their home and the daughter was in the back yard at the time.

Just how Mrs. Nordloh caught on fire is not known, but presumably she had started to light the combination wood and gas stove. She called and Mrs. McKee at first thought she was calling to her daughter; but in an instant she knew differently. When she got upstairs from the basement Mrs. Nordloh\\\'s clothing was nearly burned off.

She was brought to a Mound City doctor for first aid and was sent on to St. Joseph. She suffered severe burns from the knees up. She was 78 years old.

Besides her daughter, Grace, and her sister, Mrs. McKee, she is survived by another sister, Mrs. Henry Schoenrock, Lamar, Iowa, and brother, Emmett Ideker, Craig.

Funeral services will be conducted from the St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran church near Craig, Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. J.C. Wershler officiating.

Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
