Norma Jean (Foulk) Pinkerton, 87, of Craig, formerly of Big Lake Village, Mo., passed from this life, surrounded by her loving family, in her home, on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
She was born September 8, 1928, in St. Joseph.
Norma married Victor Pinkerton on December 30, 1967, in St. Joseph, and he preceded her in death January 30, 1996.
Norma and her late husband were owners/operators of the Long Branch Tavern for 13 years, until retiring in June 1990. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
Norma was also preceded in death by: her parents, Glenn Foulk and Violet (Courtney) Foulk Jacobs; a son, Richard McPhail; a daughter, Terri Rails; stepson, Gary Pinkerton; a sister, Dora Lee (Pete) Joslin; a nephew, John Joslin.
Survivors: daughter, Tierra Rails, Craig; son, Gregory Allen, Kansas City, Mo.; step-daughter, Pam Gagnon, St. Joseph; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great- grandchildren; son-in-law, Darin Rails, Craig; and numerous friends.
The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Thursday, prior to a memorial Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
Inurnment will follow the service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig.
