Services held for Wm. F. Quimby
Wm. Franklin Quimby Sr., 88, died Friday, December 12, in Victorville, Calif. Funeral services were held in Victorville Monday, December 15, in the Kern Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Quimby was a native of Craig, Mo., and a resident of Corning before he went to Victorville 22 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lida Mae, in 1966; two sons, Benny Quimby and Bill Quimby, and one daughter, Willa Mae.
He is survived by four daughters, Lida Felix, Irene Taylor, Zuba Schirrenbeck, all of Victorville, and Marjorie Shelton of Apple Valley, Calif.; three sons, Ralph Quimby, Phoenix, Ariz., and DeEldon Quimby, Louisville, Nebr.; 33 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Schooler Funeral Home in Craig, Wednesday, December 17 at 2:30. Rev. Robert Pitts officiated.
Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, near Craig.
Pallbearers were John Trauernicht, David Trauernicht, Alfred Schmidt, Flloyd Ray Quimby, Junion Worley and Ralph Gray.
