Linda Rails, 73, of St. Joseph, Missouri formerly of Wathena passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care.
Linda was born on July 30, 1944 in Wathena, Kansas to Floyd and Mary (Spoon) Mills. She was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church, where she was very active in all of the church activities as well as the Chick Club. Linda was a self-employed seamstress and had worked with the Bridal Boutique.
She married Norman C. Rails on March 25, 1961 in St. Joseph, Missouri, he preceded her in death on May 27, 2002. She was also preceded by one grandson, Thomas Michael Ussary.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Ann (Shawn) Somers and Vondalena (Hugh) Ashburn; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Tabitha and one great-granddaughter, Layla; three sisters, Zella Davis, Doris Richardson, Betty Matlock and a very special companion, who shared lifelong memories, Kathy Jones-Barber.
