Hazel Gladys (Meyer) Randall, 91, Mound City, Mo., formerly of Craig, Mo., died Friday, April 9, 1999, at a Mound City health-care center.

Mrs. Randall taught school at Glendale, Kelso and Shiloh, all rural schools in Holt county, Mo. She also taught kindergarten in Craig. She also was employed as a clerk in the former Golden Rule Clothing Store, Mound City.

Born July 6, 1907, in Shiloh, Mo., south of Mound City, she was a graduate of Mound City High School. She also attended college in McPherson, Kan.

Mrs. Randall was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church and Eastern Star, both of Mound City. She also taught Sunday School to the residents at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home, Mound City, for almost 25 years.

On Oct. 1, 1928, she married Carlisle M. Randall in Shiloh. After their marriage they moved to a farm south of Craig. After her husband, Carlisle died in 1967, she moved to Mound City.

Mrs. Randall was also preceded in death by a son, Carlisle Jr.; a daughter, Virginia Jones; her parents, Logan and Hattie Meyer; a brother, William Meyer; four sisters, Lillian McGuire, Ellen Varvel, Mary Zickefoose and Edna J. Williams; and three great-grandchildren.

Surviving: a daughter, Minnie Shubert, Mound City; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Services were held at Christian Fellowship Church, Mound City, Mo.
