Frances Lillian (Osborn) Root was born in Phelps City, Missouri on February 18, 1927. Her Parents were Richard Andrew and Ethel Mae (Harris) Osborn. Frances attended school in Watson, Missouri and also in Westboro, Missouri. On December 13, 1942 she married Gorden Travis, they became parents of one daughter Donna. Gorden Passed away on October 10, 1972. On October 13,1973 Frances married Elmer Root. They Moved to Omaha Nebraska in the late 1970\\\'s and Frances worked for Mutual Of Omaha. Frances passed away at Mercy Care Center in Omaha, on Friday evening July 11, 1997 at the Age of 70.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, her paternal grandparents, William and May L(Mattice) Osborn, her maternal grandparent, Peter And Lula E. (Mather) Harris; one sister Ella Mae Osborn, two brothers, Gabriel W. Osborn and Wayne R. Osborn.

Frances is survived by her husband Elmer Root, of their home in Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bill Golden, Bigelow, Missouri; step-daughter and step-son-in-law Karen and George Bush, of Fresno, California; step-son and step-daughter-in-law Jim and Alta Root, Chattanooga, Tennessee; step son Richard Root; three sisters Margaret Tallant and Peggy Walters both of Omaha Nebraska, and Sylivia Tallant, of Springfield, Nebraska; four bothers Wesley Osborn of Mangum, Oklahoma, Clifford G. Osborn, Goodland, Florida, George D. and Charles M. Osborn both of Creston, Iowa; one grandson Duane Golden of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Deborah Golden, Long Beach, Washington; ten step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews
