Charles W. Thurnau, of Craig, Mo., was born Dec. 1, 1925, and died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 11, 1993, at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Mr. Thurnau was a native and life long resident of Craig, where he attended school and was a farmer. He was district supervisor of Jacques Seeds.
He was a member of St. peter\\\\'s Lutheran Church, where he was a trustee of the church, past elder and Sunday school superintendent, past member of the Craig R-IIII School Board, and was current president of the Big Tarkio Ditch Board.
In 1947, he married Wilma Dougherty.
Preceded him in death were two sisters, Elsie Thurnau and Selma Thurnau.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Lynn Thurnau, Curtis Thurnau, both of Craig, and Chris Thurnau, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Edgar Thurnau, Mound City; five sisters, Elnor Krueger, Emma Wright, Marilyn Robbins, all of Craig; Delores Morehouse, Tarkio, Dorothy Seymour, Kansas City, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the St. Peter\\\\'s Lutheran Church, west of Craig, conducted by Rev. J.N. Sellemeyer, and burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Craig, Mo.
