Bernice Julia Yandell, 102, Mound City, Mo., died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Tiffany Heights nursing home.
Mrs. Yandell was born near Craig Feb. 7, 1898, to William and Julia May Browning. She graduated from Craig high School in 1917.
On Jan. 2, 1919, she married Omer Yandell in Oregon. he died in 1980. She was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed north of Craig until 1940. They later moved to a farm in the Hiawatha, Kan., area. They lived in Maryville and Savannah before moving to Mound City in 1971.
She moved to Tiffany Heights in 1993.
She also was preceded in death by a stepmother, Katie Browning; a brother, Ray Browning; and two sisters, Ethel Troxel and Clara Fitzgerald.
Survivors include nephews and nieces, including Harold Browning, Mound City.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Pettijohn
