Vernon H. Ohlensehlen, 85, Mound City, Mo., formerly of Craig, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at a Falls City, Neb., hospital.

He was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Craig, the son of Gus and Tena Rebel Ohlensehlen.

He married Sylvia Ideker march 22, 1942, in Craig. She died in 1996.

He attended school in Craig and was a farmer. He was a member of St. Peter\\\'s Lutheran Church near Craig and a former member of the Craig School Board.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth; two brothers, Warren and Ivan Ohlensehlen, and two sisters, Bernice Barrett and Lorene Edwards.

He is survived by a son, Jim Ohlensehlen of Craig; a daughter, Judy Stahl of Freeman, S.D.; two sisters, Francis Martin and Lillian Frederick, both of Mound City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
