Vickie Ann Montgomery, age 73, of Mound City, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, MO.

Vickie was born February 24, 1949, in Falls City, NE. She was the daughter of Roy and Leona (Barker) Haer. She was a graduate of Craig (MO) High School, class of 1967.

Vickie was united in marriage to Jack Montgomery on April 20, 1979. Jack preceded her in death in 1998.

Vickie had worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City where she was in the accounting department. She then moved closer to home and started work as a dietary aide. Vickie had worked in both the dietary and house keeping departments for Community Hospital-Fairfax. Before her retirement, Vickie was employed by Tiffany Heights Care Center in Mound City where she worked in the dietary department.

Vickie was a member of the former Craig Presbyterian Church. Most recently she attended the Presbyterian-led services at Sharp\'s Grove Methodist Church near Craig.

Vickie\'s hobbies included reading and doing puzzle books; spending time with family, especially her grandkids; and lover her favorite drink, Coca-Cola.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; son, Anthony "Tony" Moulatino; brothers, James and Vernon Haer; and sisters, Ramona Rhoades and Madonna Thurnau. Survivors include her children, daughter, Megan (Wes) Twyman of Shubert, NE, and sons, Carter (Jessie) Montgomery of Falls City, NE, and Clark (Amanda) Montgomery of St. Joseph, MO; seven grandchildren, Tylar, Holly, and Jordan Twyman of Shubert, Arie and Jett Montgomery of Falls City and Abigail and Walker Montgomery of St. Joseph; one great-grandson, Graycen Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family members received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 26, at Sharp\'s Grove United Methodist Church, Craig. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at Sharp\'s Grove United Methodist Church, followed by burial in the IOOF Cemetery, Craig. Memorial donations may be made to the IOOF Cemetery, Craig. Arrangements were under the care of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax/Craig.
